Update Problems

We have had reports of an error when applying the October 2011 update. The update program issues an error message "Install.ini not found", although this is not the case. The fix is as follows:

If not already running, start My Computer or Windows Explorer. The following instructions refer to this program.

1. On your C: drive, make a temporary folder: File > Folder > New >TFUpTemp. This must be on a workstation where TruckFinder is installed.

2. Copy the entire contents of the Update CD to the temporary folder on your C: drive. Highlight all the files and folders on the CD by pressing Ctrl+A.  Right-click and select "Copy". Move inside the new temporary folder, right-click, and select "Paste".

3. Download the three files here. When asked whether you want to Run or Save, select "Save". Save them to the TFUpTemp folder.

4. In the TFUpTemp folder, double-click on Go. Choose "Run the Update Program" and the Update will start.

5.  When the update is complete, it is safe to  delete the TFUpTemp folder and remove the CD.
